What is Clinical Exercise?

Clinical exercise is a personalised program designed to help you recover from injury and achieve your individual health and fitness goals. 


Prana Physiotherapy & Health is now offering private, semi-private (maximum 2 participants) and small group classes (maximum 4 participants) lead by qualified Physiotherapists.

During a clinical exercise session, you can expect your program to focus on specific areas of need as well as general cardiovascular fitness, strength, balance and mobility. Equipment used may include a Pilates reformer, stationary exercise bikes, hand weights, resistance bands and other specialised equipment.

What is the difference between Clinical Exercise and a group fitness class?


Clinical Exercise Sessions are run by experienced Physiotherapists, which means they have in-depth knowledge and understanding of the human body. They are able to use their expertise to design a tailored program that encourages the correct movement pattern for your injury or health goals. A fitness instructor can only recommend a generalised program of exercises that may not suit you specifically.


Clinical Exercise Sessions are small with a maximum of 4 per class or you have the opportunity to invest in private or semi-private sessions. Prior to commencing Clinical Exercise, a thorough assessment is undertaken to understand how your body moves and to develop a personalised exercise program. Another bonus is that depending on your provider, you can claim private health insurance rebates on the cost of your sessions.

  • Private - One on one tailored program

  • Semi-Private - maximum of two participants

  • Small Group Class - maximum of four participants
